Blanket Purchase Orders

Blanket purchase orders enable you to plan purchases to be delivered over time. You can use blanket purchase orders to take advantage of large quantity discounts, and allow for greater flexibility to budget costs. You can schedule releases based on preliminary estimates, and then adjust the details later if required.  

Blanket purchase orders go through the standard workflow for approval. A major advantage with blanket purchase orders is that you can release individual purchase orders at any time and they do not require any additional approvals. When purchase orders are released, they are available to receive/invoice and follow the standard purchase order to invoice processes.
